Band

The Harding Academy Instrumental Program has grown over the past twenty four years to include beginning, intermediate, and advanced instruction to students.  Our High School band marches at parades and performs a halftime show during the Fall.  Our Jazz Combo is made up of high school band members who want the additional challenge and reward of learning and performing all styles of Jazz music.  The Wildcat Band has produced several Arkansas All-State musicians, and many more All-Region musicians.  Some students have even majored in music at the university level, and are teaching or will be teaching soon.

We use the Habits of a Successful Band Member books as our core curriculum because of its straightforward presentation and excellent, free online resources, designed to take a student who has never played an instrument to the collegiate level.
