Weekly Update Jan. 15

It’s been another great week at Harding Academy!

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY

We will not have school on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Please take time to discuss the significance of this day with your students.  Here is a video of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

Next Thursday our faculty and staff will be given the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.  We have 63 people signed up to receive it.  This was a voluntary decision for our faculty and staff.  We are one step closer to putting COVID-19 behind us.

A BIG thanks to Casey McLeod and Searcy Medical Center Pharmacy for administering the vaccinations at Harding Academy.  Casey, thanks for taking care of us.  We are glad you are part of the Harding Academy family!

BLANKETS

Our 7th grade girls have been working hard on making blankets as a service project.   Today “The Mission Machine” picked them up and they will be keeping people in need warm very soon.

NEW FAMILIES

We have several new families that have joined us in the new semester.  Ask your students if they have any new students in their classes.  Let’s think of ways we can help them feel included.

We have been giving tours of the school to inquiring families at a record rate lately as well.   Encourage your friends and family to check out Harding Academy if they aren’t here already. YOU are our best ambassadors for Harding Academy.  We love showing perspective students all of the reasons we LOVE Harding Academy!
